Rolex withdrawal
It feels strange not having a Rolex strapped to my wrist today. I shipped the GMT off yesterday and am now awaiting the delivery of my Sea-Dweller. I wore the GMT everyday for six months and really became accustomed to wearing the Rolex brand. Today I'm wearing my digital watch that's used when I go running - it just isn't the same. I should have the SD in a few days and all will be good again.

Sold off my Omega yesterday and not having any withdrawal from it (yet). I do have the Breitling Chrono Avenger on my wrist today fresh from the AD.
Gotta love the Breitling.

I talked to Cayce this morning at Timekeeper. His father is in the hospital for heart surgery, but to those of us who purchased Rolexes from him last week, he says he hopes to get them out today.

I hope everything turns out ok for Cayce's father. I know there are others who work there, can't they mail the stuff out?

When I spoke with him it was about 0900 CST Nashville time, and in addition to his concern for his father, he mentioned his other employees were out sick and he was by himself. I purchased the Sub on Friday, and he hopes to get it 2nd day UPS today. If not today, then overnight tomorrow. This is my first dealing with him, but I'm confident that his father's situation has outstripped everything else for him today, not to mention his employee outage. If I remember from these posts, you grabbed that nice Sub Date--was it Saturday?

I traded my GMT for the Sea-Dweller yesterday. I just received notification from FedEx that my watch was delivered to The Time Keeper and signed for. I called to make sure they understood it was my watch. Cayce's still at the hospital and said he plans on going to the office tonight to get some work done. It didn't sound like anything's shipping today... high hopes for tomorrow.

Right, SD, I remember now. Well, hopefully, we will be both taken care of in the next couple of days.

I got an email from Cayce. My SD will be overnighted tomorrow morning! I would assume yours will be going out with it.

Thanks Colemantis. He did say this morning he would try to overnite them tomorrow if somehow he missed today. It must be an addiction in the truest sense of the word, because for me, at least, it isn't exactly an emergency, but I STILL WANT IT NOW!!

Hate to admit it, but you see right through me. I'm acting like my dog, going to the front door every time a truck drives down the street. At least I'm not chasing it around the corner--yet.
