I've always been more of an Explorer I guy, but my gosh that is a FANTASTIC photo and yes, a beautiful pen! I want to "eat" both of them. Nice work.

Beautiful shot, Larry. Thanks for sharing.

Still wandering why I recently purchased a Sub over the Explorer II.

If that's your old beater, I wonder what condition your dress watch is in...

Flawless Explorer, and a nice shot

A very handsome looking watch and no need to worry about sand and dust under the bezel.

Looks in good nick for a beater.

I may get a white dial Expy II someday...Don't see a SS Daytona in my future any time soon. I do want a Rollie with a dial unlike the two I have.

No Question; its the one for adventure. There is a reason the Explorers Club designates it as THE Exploxer Watch.

I think that if you go through this Forum, you will see that that Explorer II has been snorkeling, skiing, rock climbing, and yard work.......... It's been to Alaska, Hawaii, and back to the Mojave Desert.......

.... and it is the main subject in my Amateur Watchmakers Corner on the Reference Library for bracelet repairs, caseback removal, and a host of other projects... In the Hi res photo, you can see it's scars more clearly..

And it has a sister White dial that is twice as old, and has seen twice as much... It's around recently sporting it's latest service..

Here it...from back in July:

....http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=86028

A Rolex (or several) is a lifetime purchase...................

...agree with Tools here. You do not have to trash your watch to use it...check it.

I guarantee Eddy V. uses his.
