I actually like the green, especially on TT, though on the SS version, red would be better should they ever do a Pepsi or Coke.

Those of us who can't count at all (guilty) need the timer bezel so our heads don't explode while doing recreational diving. So I really can't wear this one for diving.

Here's a revolutionary idea: The double bezel, one bezel with the timer on the outside and another on the inside with the 24 hour markers. They would be individually rotated.

Am I over thinking this? Or is the GMT Submarinmaster an amazing idea?

Here you go:
1. Restore oyster bracelet link thickness to the way it was
2. Go with a 60 click bezel
3. Make the gold bezel inlays look more like actual gold
4. Come up with an easy link that has a finer increment (I think Glidelock should remain unique to subs to maintain a distinction)

Can't speak to the Glidelock but I also have had not fitment issues. W/r/t a 48 click bezel...don't you want to have 24 clicks so the hours line up exactly against the 24-hour hand?

Funny you mention that. I completely forgot about it but when I was hunting for my first Rolex I completely looked past this model because I did not like the green hand. I would have much preferred it to match the rest of the hands (ie: wg). I also didnt want anything that was a "2" without first having the "1" lol, so both the GMT2, EXP2 and YM2, were off my list. Having said that, now that I have an EXP1, I am ok with getting an EXP2..

If the GMT2 just had "GMT" on the face I would have been ok with it. Am I mad or does anyone else think like this?

I think you're quite mad, Daniel!!

The original GMT was phased out quite a few years ago and replaced by the GMT-II in 1985 (I think)!!

If you like the new GMT-IIC don't let a lousy II come between you and the watch!!!

improved system for shock absorption

anti-reflective coating across the entire underside of the crystal - not only where the cyclops is.

I was referring to the caseback cover, the actual cover that screws onto the back and covers the mechanism. This cover is called the caseback and is very thick in the case of the Subs and dive watches - not so with the GMT-IIC, Daytona and YM although they all have TRIPLOCK crowns.

JJ
Gotcha, thanks buddy.
