Daytona and water

I should probably know this but I have no idea how my TT Daytona Cosmo (recent vintage) is rated for water. There are no markings on it and I read through all the literature I got with it and no mention of water resistance. Can anyone tell me how this watch is rated. I know it's not a dive watch but is it ok for swimming, showers, washing with soap and water, etc. Thanks.

The modern day Zenith or in-house movement Daytona, is rated to 100m, safe to swim shower etc just make sure chrono pushers and crown screwed down.

What do you mean by "recent vintage"?

What is the model number?

Just to be safe, I wouldn't get it too wet, until you get it properly tested by an authorised Rolex dealer or repairer.

Prevention rather than cure!

No idea about older models.

John.
Well the big clue is TT the prior Zenith vintage Valjoux Daytonas were SS or all gold.

Not sure of the model number (out of town at the moment) but it was new from AD in 2006 so assume it is no more than 2-3 years old. My concern was the push buttons - not sure if they were waterproof or not. Not doing any diving - just want to make sure if I give it a good bath it will be ok.

Like I have already said in my above post, your watch is rated to 100m,as with all models of Daytona produced from around 1991 with the indroduction of the 16520 Zenith powered ones.So your watch is safe to wash, swim, snorkel, wear in the rain, just make sure for perfect safety the pushers and crown are screwed down.

Ditto to what Padi said. REMEMBER TO SCREW IN PUSHERS AND CROWN.
