Yachtmaster owners show me some love... and pics!

Attention YM owners,

I have both a good friend and my GF interested in buying matching YMs (should I be jealous?) and would love to see some pics of YMs in particular the SS Platinum version both men's and women's.
For you owners, how do you find the platinum holds up for dings and scratches? Both bezel and band? The movement is different than the Sub what else is it used in?
Any and all info is as always appreciated...

Ren,

The YM, SD, Sub-date and all the DJs use the same identical 3135 movement.

Be jealous not that they want to buy YM's , but that they have the financial ability to do so.

I couldn't be more pleased with my YM. I just love, love, love it!!! I've only had it a month now, but have worn it every day and it looks great. I'm a mom of 2 kids just 3 1/2 and 15 months, so I don't have time to baby it. I go about my day with little thought to keeping it scratch free (sorry JJ). The platinum is pristine. There are some hairline scratches on the band that I'm convinced came from my sweaters rubbing on it throughout the day. But you'd have to look really closely to see them. Sorry I don't have better pics. You've probably seen these before. I'd take more pics, but at the moment I'm on vacation with my family in FL and we're camping on a boat. I managed to hijack a faint wireless signal just to check on TRF, so this will have to do.

I should mention at this stage that when I say YM, I refer only to the 40 mm model.

The 29 mm and 35 mm YMs are fitted with the 2235 movement.....same as is now in all the new Lady DJs.

Damn look at those beeyooteefull wathes! Thanx for the pics guys...

I did'nt realize that there was such a range of dial and bracelets available, for my money one of the nicest collections that Rolex produces. Maxi-dail and red second hand on the SS Plat version as well?

OK how about retail? What is the ballpark amount that you paid for these babies? PM me if you would rather not post price here

We paid about 17%-18% off retail and no tax since we bought out of state and had them shipped. We used a grey market dealer with excellent results. I would highly recommend. PM for more info.

So, does one need to "OWN" a boat or yacht in order to buy one?

I wonder how many YM owners actually use their watch for sailing. My DH and I race Stars and Atlantics together. I prefer a digital yacht timer for racing.
