B01

Hi Guys,

Just joined the forum. I recently say the Chronomat B01 for the first time and am very tempted to get one. I was not a real fan of Breitling but this watch has me rethinking things. I have done some research and the reviews have been good.

If I do go ahead and purchase it, how much off retail would be reasonable from a AD. From past post about Breitling, it seems 30-40% off but with the new model does that still apply? Just talking to the AD, they already offered 25% off. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks
TexasHawk

I would expect no more than 30% from a dealer. You might be able to find one on ebay...

If you get 30-35% off, you're doing good. It's an AWESOME watch! I LOVE mine!

I disagree with you... You get more bang for your buck with this watch than you do with many other brands! This watch is SO well finished, and it has Breitling's first in-house movement, which is very accurate.

Beautiful watch. I am thinking of something similar, two tone case, Sierra silver dial with sticks and black croco strap. Thanks for the info.

Nice choice! Zadok's on Post Oak has a very nice selection right now, AND I think I saw the very one you're interested in.

Mark,
Is that a brown dial on yours?! It looks Amazing!

I may have to give Zadok's a visit - I was there last year for Chopard for the Mrs. and very sad (only kidding) that they were not a Rolex AD, maybe it's time I talk Breitling with them.

You do have great taste in watches.

Pete,
It's called an amber dial I believe, and thanks! It IS kinda big for my wrist though, and as much as I absolutely LOVE it, I'm thinking I might sell it. In the flesh it's stunning! Pictures don't do it justice.

That stinks, I am going to try one on as soon as I can get to Zadok's or another Breitling AD. I am pretty big so I don't think 44mm will be too big for me... but, I am comfortable with the Rolexes so it may feel funny to have a "big" watch.
If that one looks better in person than in pictures, it must be AMAZING!

I am sure if you get rid of it, there will be a Rolex quickly in it's place

2th DR - a friend had recommended Zadok's as well and I ended up getting my B01 from them. Just got it. I like it a lot, still getting used to the size. The leather strap is squeaky right now, is there anything I should be doing to soften up the strap besides just wearing it?

Too bad, I was gonna make you a low ball offer!

Glad you decided it's not too big, enjoy it.

I am pretty sure it jumped past the Milgaus as my next watch...but, that may change by lunch time. I fall in love with a new watch every day.

I don't know, after wearing it for a while, it really is too big for me. You just might see it in the classifieds at some point...
