how many of you navitimer owners actually use the sliderule function?

just curious what people use the sliderule for.
i'm drawn to the look of the navitimer and the long history of this line but wandering if people actually use the sliderule function for anything practical like sailing etc.

I'm not nearly smart enough to use the slide rule.

Agreed.....Looks great!!
But I would think less than 2% of wearers would use it let alone know how to...

I dig the hell out of my slide rule on my Twin Sixty, unfortunately, its just not practical for pilots any more with the available instrumentation. Many owners probably don't know how to use it.

I use it as a backup if my electronic E6B's batteries die.

I know how to use the slide rule function but for the past 20 years I haven't been able to see it.

I use the multiplication function from time to time, but mainly just to show off in front of women. The dial's too damn small to read. Plus, who needs that when you've got an HP 48GX ;-)

I use my 806's sliderule for a quick reference to converting Euros into £££...Was useful when they were 1.4:1...Not that useful now that its practically 1:1!!!
