Help in buying used Rolex on ebay

Hello folks. This is my first post. I am interested in buying a pre-owned Rolex on ebay from watch_chest. I already saw some discussion and felt that he is a good seller. I am interested in one of these two:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Mens-Datej...item53e29275ec

or

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Mens-Datej...item53e283d228

However, since I am very new to this, I am not sure how to tell whether a watch is being sold for a good price, or how much would be a good offer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sam

cht.. where would you do for a used Rolex then? can't find them in jewelers nearby and don't trust craigslist!

drtooth: did you have any experience buying from the forum? any idea what additional guarantees one would get from buying through the forum vs. ebay?

many thankls.

although I bought my first Rolex from eBay, but if you're eyeing at that 2 in eBay, I am sure you find better and much safer deal here in TRF.
good luck.

I almost bought a Rolex off Ebay but my son wisely alerted me that it was a total fake so be wary when shopping there

The forum is a good place to buy. Before buying check the Who's Who section and see if they have references just like with eBay I would be hesitate to buy from a seller with a new account, no references, and low forum participation.

We have many sellers rated as Trusted, you can buy from them with confidence.
