Rolex price decrease for Basel launched 18ct Sub

Here's the reasoning.

The Rolex site "10,9, etc countdown to Basel 2007" surely trumpets the arrival of a new 18ct Blue Sub (90% certainty for me, anyway).

The watch will be almost identical to the new GMT except for the lesser complicated movement.

The current 18ct Sub is 5% more expensive than the new GMT.

How can they make the new Sub more expensive than the GMT?. It would not make sense.

Therefore a price drop would be appropriate.

(More than a dose of presumption used, of course)

Could be, but I'm thinking that very soon after Basel there will be an across the board price increase for all Rolex's.
I understand that Panerai just raised prices as of 4/1 (on another thread), can Rolex be far behind??? Larry.

I have a strong feeling that the BLUE Ceramic bezel is being reserved for the FULL GOLD Sub and NOT the TT version.

So let's see if I'm right or not...we'll find out pretty soon, won't we?

all along the 16618 is more expensive than the 16718 (list prices)....

the 16613 has a higher list price than the 16713 as well......

so if the 116618 was launched, it will also be more expensive than the 116718....

And the Sub will dive deeper, even though the GMT has the larger crown and the triplex. Still, it is not a SUB as far as diving capabilities. So that may be a reason. Subs are always more than the comparable GMT's it seems.
