Hi there. I'm new here, and I'm going through what I suspect many others have before me.

Step 1: Vague notion of Rolex as outrageously priced watch.
Step 2: Get into watches, but more interested in bigger watches than Rolex's more traditional styles.
Step 3: Realize those traditional styles aren't so bad after all.
Step 4: And maybe, just maybe, $3,000-$5,000 is doable.
Step 5: Wait, maybe I could find a too-good-to-be-true deal on the web! Or maybe I could buy the case, dial, movement and bracelet separately and save thousands!
Step 6: OK, settle down and save. You'll get there someday.

Hoping for an Oyster Perpetual 11600 or an Explorer I. In the meantime, I'm learning a lot here.
