I suggest doing a search in the "For Sale" section. That could give you an idea of what folks are asking . . .

I sourced a genuine one on Ebay - 18K WG Fluted. I got it for ~ $100 but they usually sell more in the $200-$250 range. My watchmaker pointed out a small hallmark on the bottom when had it authenticated as genuine or aftermarket. It was hard to see but there.

There are fluted SS ones on Ebay but they are not genuine as the 1601 was the Datejust with a White Gold fluted bezel. There was not a SS fluted bezel version. SS bezels were used on the 1603-Machined SS or the 1600 which was smooth SS bezel.

The bezels are interchangeable as they press on and you will often see technically incorrect bezels on older DJs. As in a 1601 WG fluted bezel on a 1603 which should have the SS machined bezel.

Best on you search. Greg

I would expect to pay $300, and I'd be real happy to pay $200. If you try ebay you can find some bezels, but it could take a while to find your exact model. I noticed a site (today)for someone called "jewelerstools" that had various bezels and bracelets.

Rolex WG Fluted Bezel

You can find them on Ebay. See link attached.

Check authenticity before you purchase and ensure that it is the correct size for your watch.

thanks guys. how does one check for authenticity?

are there markings on the back one should look for, and how would a seller prove its actually WG and not just SS?

looking at the prices which range from $155 US to $400+ on ebay and for the size of the bezel (hence amount of WG used to produce), if genuine 18K White Gold, I would have thought would be in the higher end of the range, say $350-400. No? I mean a white gold women's wedding band/ring is worth at least in the $350 mark. Thoughts/opinions?
