Being offered this in trade....

Never seen an RSC number that low... How do I determine actual year of production? I think late 60's but how to know for sure? Dial appears re-worked, but looks like by Rolex. Crystal - who knows. That's why I find vintage so hard to follow I took many close-ups, so any help would be appreciated.

Wanted to note that if this piece is actually as nice as it appears without any caveats, it may be offered to the TRF community at a later date. Mods, if you feel this is inappropriate, please feel free to delete. My primary objective with this is, naturally, to rely on the knowledge of our experts in looking over this 1675.

I thank you in advance for your expertise

The dial is a replacement service dial. The dial coronet on an original dial for that vintage wasn't as elongated as the service dial. The early 1980's GMT 16750 dials had the elongated coronet dial though. The lugs are a little rounded but a could be squared again by a competent watchmaker.

Can't help you with the case stampings Mosco, but replacement cases aren't too desirable to the collector. Actually, the case looks fairly recent as it doesn't appear to be very worn or scratched.

Maybe Dalton could shed some light on the case number.

Thanks, John, much appreciated! Yeah, I noticed the lugs, not sure if they're even worth messing with. The case remains a mystery...
