Given you are one of the rare Anonimo dealers in Australia... could this post be considered 'shilling'???? Not sure I fully undersand the exact meaning of the term 'shilling' so if someone wants too put my on the right page, go for it. I am not being nasty or anything... I'm just wondering thats all.

Am I the only one thinking this?????

Thats cool Nick, I was more 'thinking out loud' and wanted to see if I was off base with my thoughts. I like your posts, especially the bracelet wear and tear and the case polish you did, very interesting... I'd like to see more of that type of thing.... so no, dont go or delete anything!

Thanks for the review Nick.

Don't know that the watch is for me (personally), but it is always interesting to hear what others have to say about different models whatever their paradigm.
The watch is very interesting and I like it in a number of ways.
47 jewels is a lot, has the base ETA movement been modified or finished by the manufactory?

My name is 'Amanda' I work in IT and live in Melbourne, I've met people off this site and regularly correspond with friends I've made from TRF and Paneristi from all over the world. I like watches, I mostly look at them because my budget doesn't allow me to own many watches. So far I've got a Panerai Logo 005 and thats it. I'm as honest as they come... and sometimes shoot off my mouth without thinking... thats how honest I am! And you can see this from my original remark above! I'm also happy to admit if I was wrong too

Looked at some at a store today. First I have ever seen them. Kind of like Panerais, but half the cost. Actually really nice. I actually may consider getting one. 42mm in diameter. The Lum was great on the Militare I checked out. Very simple watch.

Informative post Nick and much appreciated.

I've personally been quite interested in the Anonimo Polluce, I really like the use of brass which is uniuqe and which offers a very interesting look.

I'm always thinking of the future when considering a new watch, so Nick, do you think that the Anonimo/ETA movement will always be easily serviced by any competent watch repairer?

Honesty and shooting off your mouth don't go together. The latter is more a self regulation problem that you should address.

The watch has a very large case, i'm not keen on watches this size as they tend
to have a much smaller movement ( probably ETA or something)

The result of this as you can see is the chronograph is located towards the centre of the watch and the date is very small
in proportion to the rest of the watch.

Big case should equal big movement ie IWC Portugeiser(?)

More in house movement please that fill the WHOLE case and make use of a large face and are unique
to that particular watch.

by the way a good report , i take it you're not going to buy one
