Daytona/Explorer II numbers

Hi people.
I am on the verge of buying new Explorer II (definite) or SS White Daytona (maybe, if I can get it past better half). I know a lot of you out there are far more savvy when it comes to model numbers etc. I have done my home work but would like confirmation from an expert out there. If I were to buy either of the above, which model numbers would define them as the very latest models available on the market today. Hope someone can help me.
