here is a good question for you. How deep do you have to dive to have the pressure wipe the fingerprint right off of the face of the crystal?

Dave....great shots! I started a thread over on the General Rolex Forum asking who dives with their Rolex. Not a single diver has replied, so it's good to at least see one more person who dives their Rolex

It's an SD that I mildly customized for better legibility underwater. It's had a seconds hand from a Yacht-Master added.

Love the crab pose. You are very brave to dive with your TT Blue Sub. I know, I know...that is what they are designed for. Scary.

Subfiend.....good to see you back. I knew you dove your's, but I was beginning to think you'd given up on us when you said that the Rolex Rose had "lost it's bloom"
Great shots of your Rolexes in action. I'm heading to Florida so I'm planning on christening the LV in the Gulf.

Will my 18K Day-Date handle the pressure if I choose to dive with it?
BTW, I dove extensively when I lived on GU; 300+ whatever type of dives you could name of. Palau is my next destination. |

But would you really want to dive with a solid gold watch?

Thanks, I just wasn't sure since the crown construction and sealant points are different. And in reality, no, I would not dive with a solid gold watch.

Sub K,
I'm still here. I have just been really busy lately and I have not had time to check in. Don is at WHOI at the moment, but I have to talk to him soon. I will nail him down on the Pisces I question. He was also supposed to talk to Phil about publishing one of my articles in DIVER, so maybe he can kill two birds with one stone.

X2.. tried body boarding in shallowish water once, scared the u-no-wots outta me.. at one point the waves grabbed the board sent it up in the air, over my head and wrapped the cord round my neck.. thought i was gonna die and also provided my friends with one of the funniest things they had seen in their life....
great thread guys, love the photos.... wish I could swim good tho, tried having lessons but i just am not much of a swimmer...... |
