What numbers would one expect to pay on the Grey Market for a new SS Daytona. Yes, I have recently got one at MSRP, but I have a friend who is having the itch- yes, bad enough to pay a premium! I think it is foolish, but it does bring up and interesting point... what are they bringing, and did I do THAT well buying mine at MSRP plus tax?

Besides the premium, I like having my name on the papers... still tring to convey that to my friend...

A BNIB 116520 would have a price of approx. 11,000 US.

But I would consider getting it, since there will probably be price increases in September or October where I would not be surprised if the 116520 will pass the 10,000 border.

So buying it NOW would potentially be a good deal

Well myself believe if anyone pays over the list price for a Daytona must be sixpence short of a shilling.But if his heart is set on one then IMHO the 16520 Zenith powered cal 4030. Would be a better long term option if he ever needs to sell it,and if he could get one at a reasonable price.

WOW, very interesting! I was thinking one could be had for around 10,000... but after looking around a bit, it is kind-a hard to find a BNIB Z, with the dual serial numbers... I guess I did alright! Still think more can be had for less, unless you HAVE to get what others cant,,,

And FWIW, there seems to be alot of posts on this forum about status symbols and such, which I just dont get. I bought my new Daytona and have YET to wear it! Once in a while I just look at it! LOL. Weird, as my Sub and GMT one get worn ALL the time, and beat the sh*t out of! Just me I guess...
