Black case on Submariner w/nylon strap!
A really good friend of mine told me about this clothing store in London called Bamford and Sons, They sell quality clothes and a few different items, any way they have a beautiful vintage S/S Submariner that has been customized. I really like the way this looks! I think they did a beautiful job! I would love to own one of these! You can view it here..

I Like it. Seen it before and they did a good job customizing it. Giving it alot of features I wish Rolex would implement. Made it a true Military Tool watch.

Over the years several manufactures have done this. The most recent example to my knowledge is the "pro-Hunter".
Unless Rolex gives thier blessing though they will only service at the expense of bringing the watch back to it's orginal configuration. |

I remember Tiffany's and Co. had Rolex's with their name on the dial.
I was told that the president of Tiffany's and the president of Rolex USA were friends...but had a falling out. One day...the Rolex people swept in and collected all their watches...and left without a word to the staff as to why they were pulling the watches from their stock. So much drama here in Hawaii...Can only imagine what it was like at other Tiffany's around the country...lol |

Geez, IMHO anything that is done to a plain Rolex is a blessing. Rolex should give big props for companies enhancing there products. The watches are overpriced and plain. You should get an antireflective coated sapphire as standard for the money from Rolex. The Black pvd plating is cool but an all ceramic case Rolex should be the next option.

There was a time... when almost all watches were sold with the names of the retailer on the face. I can't find the article, but I believe it's in one of the myriad Rolex history books.
