Like a few others here, IMO the thickness is an issue. That said, what matters is what YOU want.

Its like asking an average sized man with no kids if a Chevy Suburban is too big, It is all a matter of personal taste. If you don't scuba dive the DSSD just a fashion statement. Its not my cup of tea, I stand 5'9 & weigh 195lbs, but I think it can be pulled off in a stylish way by a smaller/average sized man.

It'sorrible, terrible and an abomination. As a gesture of good-will I woul-d sacrafice and otherwise giver to you the opportunity to have the watch worn by a "robust" shaped man with wrists that weren't that small to begin with but after an accident (and Ti plates, screws, etc,, etc,.) now has unshapely 8.5" wrists.
In other words - send the watch to me!
