Changing 000's hands.

Okay okay yes Im obsessed with golden hands.. Is it doable though? Are they the same like Mik's 210?

They are eta based golden hands right?

Yes. Just ETA 6497 hands. Make sure you get the right size, like those made for 44mm Luminors. They are smaller than 45mm and 47mm watches.

Also, do all you can to get c3 superlume hands.

I emailed the person you told me about last time Mik, and I also told him I wanted fat hour hand and for a 44mm watch. I was very descriptive about it, so lets hope he understands what I mean hehe.

I just ordered the hands from DSN, and I will get them probably in one or two weeks time. Will keep you guys updated.

I have also contacted a few friends and a few service centres people that I know that can perform the swap for me. Will check back in time. I think it will be stunning.

The ZERO indeed Phil. The 417 is quite cluttered as it already stands. Adding golden hands would just kill it instantly IMHO..

A friend knows the omega service centre and can help me get an inside job done. Not panerai service centre though.

Hi,

Would that be possible to locate any video clips on how to dissemble a 112 (or similar model) and take off the hands and then the dial.

I am thinking of a "big" project for my 112 soon.

Yeah, it is fairly simple for someone who is dextrous. Very little needs to be disassembled but you'll need a few hundred dollars worth of tools.

http://www.horlogerie-suisse.com/The...cal-watch.html

1. Remove crown guard.
2. Remove case back.
3. Unscrew crown stem screw.
go to link and look at (Unscrew the setting lever screw, the setting lever is going to fall and)
4. Remove crown stem.
5. Movement will fall out.
6. Change hands.
7. Do reverse.

I've done the research, but found a very competent watch maker in my town. He'll do the hand swap for me for $30, including pressure testing. I STRONGLY recommend going the pay route. I don't want to see anyone crying when the f'ed up their 112.

Many thanks for the good link.

I have been trying to locate a competent watch maker in the city I am staying but unable to locate one as yet. Know that I have to be patient.

Anyone knows any well-known PVD DLC service provider that accept case / parts with no need to send in the whole watch?

Any well known PVD DLC service provider should accept just case/parts *no need the whole watch*. The only reason most people send the whole watch is because they don't know how to disassemble and reassemble it.

But I might be wrong though.
