Price of a new submariner

Can anyone tell me how much a new submariner black on black with SS bracelet costs at a AD. We don't have one in town so i can't check. I think I have an idea of how much, but i just want to be sure.

Thanks, Tyler

I've just done a quick calculation and if Tyler puts away a dollar a day for the next 12.5 years, he should have enough for his watch.

I call him something else, but since we are being nice I'll refrain.

Adrian is really the top of top, they don't come any better than the good ole Uncle!

Actually, it used to something unpronouncable, but we made him change it to something reasonably intelligible and befitting his advanced age.

List Price in Hong Kong for the SD is $32100HKD = $4128 usd, $26500HKD = $3408 (without the date)

you maybe able to get a 10-15% off the list price , depending on the AD.. time to start saving !!!

Rolex prices in HKG are normally the best with discounts going as high as 18% on solid cash deals. The HKG dealers don't care much for plastic.

Kind of funny reading about people saying the sub is even more out of reach at 4k. 2005 was not that long ago. Hard to believe you could have bought two subs back then for the price of one today.

And in 20 years, we'll say: "Man, can you believe a Sub C only cost 8k in 2011? I can barely get a G Shock for 8k now!".

And: "I don't know, for $35k, I'd think the new Sub Z should come with more than just a heads up holo display, and a nuclear power supply, I think they nailed it back in 2011 with the C, you can still find them used for $20,000, but Rolex won't service them anymore.".

Wow, very funny to go back and read threads like this. Rolex prices increase so far beyond inflation it's amazing. At some point, it is going to bite Rolex. Most people here won't agree with me but that is my opinion. When you're increasing your prices at such a significantly higher rate than everything else, you're entering new markets and new demographics.

I think that's exactly what Rolex wants to do. Move upscale and become a more exclusive, higher end brand. If so, they'll need to work on upgrading their mvts, and better finishing on the mvts, only because when people compare a Rolex to let's say an AP, the most often cited difference is mvt. finishing.

In a time when the rich get richer, and more poverty, and a shrinking middle class, it's a pretty good strategy.

It would then follow that they would have to produce significantly less watches per year, no?

Yes, and that's exactly what I heard, they are cutting back production, as much as 35%.

It's actually £5,320 for the black SubC and £5,660 for the green one. The GMTIIc is £5,250.
