Oh so that's what they call the "Ingy"? Great looking watch...I prefer it over the UN....you do have very good taste in watches, George.

What's so special about it? Seriously.

The dial looks like an hommage to the Explorer and the case looks like an hommage to an AP RO.

I know many highly regardt his watch, but what makes it so special?

The Ingy has been in/out of production for years and have gone many design changes. I personally bought the it for the following reason:

movement
weight
bracelet
dial

Yes it does look like the AP RO since both lines was design by the same person and so does the the VC Overseas. I looked at the AP and VC as well before purchasing this piece and for the money - this is the best bang for the buck between the three. Don't get me wrong AP RO and the VC is nothing to sneeze at. :)

I'll be writing up a review of this piece soon and I'll post it here.

Thanks, I wasn't being a smart-ass, it's just that I've seen many ooh and aaah about the Ingy and since I know nothing about most IWC, I didn't know what the appeal was.

Nice pics, George. Unlike JJ, I think I prefer the UN.

Are you sure that isn't a desk clock someone stuck a strap on? No way are you going to get a shirt cuff over that high sitting monster.

If I am not mistaken, Gereld Genta designed it, the PP Nautalis, the Roo and the overseas. So that is why they look similar. I think it is a great looking piece with alot of heft ot it.

Smart ass!!

Seriously, try one on and feel it on the wrist. Unscrew the crown and manually wind it if you want to hear what a silky smooth wind feels and sounds like. A truly admirable watch, and thats why I have been bugging George to post pics
