1675 with cert that matches but not quite?

This is on ebay. The case is 3m series, in 70's? The cert punched no.s match the case serial but dated '85. What could be the reason for 15 year gap - which sounds too long for a watch to be kept in window display.

and I remember seeing the 'same' watch on ebay, at least a similar one with missing lume on 24h hand but without cert.

But I am a newbie here, and could just be plain confused and ignorant.

The dial is a replacement service dial. Personally, I have a hard time like you and question the chronometer/warranty paper as to why it is dated 14 years after the production date - circa 1971. Normally, these older watches were sold two to four years after the production date.

The punched stamping for the serial number on the warranty paper appears correct for a French warranty, which is different than the USA papers.

Based on my experience, I haven't run across this anomaly before, therefore it is a red flag to me.
