Patek AD told me something new...
That all Patek Service include the replacement of the crown.
I was told when you place your watch down on your drawer, desk, or whatever, do so with the crown DOWN. This is to minimize the polishing on the case.

Makes sense I guess if it's being placed on a hard surface. I store mine in a jewelry drawer or winder though.

I just never take my watch off unless it's going into the case for the night.

Interesting. I'm loving that watch by the way. Not only because I own an Aquanaut as well, but because it is obvious that you wear that watch the way it was intended to be worn!

It's better and more inexpensive to deal with the case of a watch rather with the insides of it.
Look at the link below especially with the part that says " damaged from regularly setting the watch crown down ". http://home.watchprosite.com/show-nblog.post/ti-432276/ |

^^^ good read. Does that particular paragraph refer to the watch's position when resting or to setting the crown down (pushing in) when done with winding though?
