OMEGA sent me my COSC Certificate!!
Hi guys,
Here's an example of how the manufacturer should treat the customer.....all I did was send an image of my plastic warranty card to Omega and they mailed me the original COSC certificate for my watch - the serial no. tallies and the technical details are mind-blowing! Bravo, OMEGA!!! |

Something I never understood is why Omega just doesnt package this with their watches. I mean they give them on demand so why not save the trouble and give it with every single watch, it would save time and money

It really wouldn't save time and money, Roger. The reason being NOT every OMEGA buyer is interested in this certificate....only the chosen few!! LOL!!
It actually costs OMEGA money each time they order such a certificate specially for a customer, quoting the specific serial no. of that watch. COSC is an independent body that charges the manufacturers for each and every movement they send out to them....and then again for the certificate too. JJ |

Not in a million years. Try writing a letter to Rolex in Geneva asking for any kind of details about your watch and their reply will be the "don't give a hoot" type. OMEGA does take more interest in their customers without a doubt!!

I guess it's economics. The rule of supply and demand.

I agree with Ed, Rolex would not waste their valuable letterhead with a response, that would cause another price increase for sure, LOL!!
