Hello,
Great Forum. Recently tried on a two-tone Blue Submariner and now I am on the hunt for one and found this forum. Missed a couple of good deals on here already. Hoping to learn some more before I make the plunge. Can someone comment, if it is easy to get a watch sent to Canada. |

 Any brand of watch from any country can be imported into Canada, but there are costs involved. The fees are 5% import duty based on the appraised value of the item (a realistic seller's invoice will do) on any item not originating in Canada, USA, or Mexico (NAFTA), plus applicable HST/GST, plus $5 processing fee. Luckily for us, the 20% Canadian import luxury tax was abolished in April 2007. If possible, if buying from the U.S., try to USPS registered rather than FedEx or UPS. They have exorbitant "brokerage fees".

I'm in T.O. as well. Welcome to TRF
Check out watchfinder dot ca first. Locations in Yorkville and one on Eglinton and Ave. Rd. If you go the route of Kijiji Toronto... tell the seller you want to meet up at Rolex on St. Claire and Yonge or any four of the AD's in Toronto to authenticate the watch, assuming you are going to buy that watch and not tire kicking, and that you'll pay for the inspection. You'll be surprise how many won't answer your e-mail yet that same ad is still up one month later. I was going to buy a pre-owned Sub but decided on a new 39mm Explorer I bought from Humbertown. |
