Long time running

So how long has your Rolex been running. I mean when was the last time it was stopped dead.

The old ExpII has been running non-stop since Christmas of 2003. After I got it, I let it run down to see how the power reserve was, and since then... running non-stop.

My YM has not stopped (I am almost positive) since I first got it last January. I last changed the time for daylight savings and checked it last night for the hell of it, it is +1 for that time.

The 88 was +3 for a six day period and the IWC was dead on after a week and half. Gotta love it!

Cool, mine's been running consistently at +1.5 for close to a year now. I'm not a stickler for accuracy, but check from time to time out of curiousity. It's a mechanical marvel!

I find that I only check my watches accuracy when I am bored and none of you TOSSERS are on here the same time as me.

Mine run down every couple of days. I don't really use a winder and I switch out watches quite a bit so I'm constantly letting the one run down while I'm winding another up.

It depends what you mean by running?

If you mean "run out of power reserve or mainspring power" then that is very rare for me (other than when the watch was with someone else when I was trying to sell it).

If you refer to "the balance has stopped" then it happens every time I set the time as my movement hacks, so every month or so.

As John will probably say, "just another a-hole engineer" but I like to be sure what people are referring to, especially those artsy types who are very non-specific.....

Well let's see. I bought my 16610 NIB in Sept 2000 and it hasn't stopped running once. If I wear another watch to work, I put it on as soon as I get home. Based on the Atomic Clock, it runs +0.5 a day.

Just curious Paul, why the other watch to work? Is it because of the stigma or just don't want to thrash it for no reason?

Let's see now...black Exp-II bought on 15th September 2005, just 2½ months now and running non-stop ever since.

The YM has come to a halt as I wear it mainly on weekends and special occasions. This baby is now my daily "beater"!!

Both. I wear other watches to work in the summer time only. You see sometimes I'll end up delivering mail for an hour or two in a not so nice part of town in addition to my route. Granted, most wouldn't know what it is but don't don't want to take a chance. Plus when it's hot and I sweat alot it gets real tight even with the extra link in the bracelet.
