Why not both?!

Tough call. One is a regular production whereas the other is an SE piece. Obviously, night & day between the two pieces.

Personally, I'm starting to appreciate the base more as I learn more about brand itself.

Good luck!

233... It's an 8-day in-house (first) movement. It also sells at a higher price point ($8k) vs 390 ($6.5k). The dot's also a much nicer 233 model that's discontinued.

I'm biased. But I think the 233 is more desirable.

233 for me.

I do have a question about the 233. Is the movement fully in-house ? A lot of websites say it is but on a few chrono24 pages the "base movement" is listed as "JLC"

Hands down the 233... The price has come way down on the 390 and IMHO will continue to drop so you could always pick up another. As for the dot dial 233... Winner winner winner IMO

Yes, I believe it was on the 1st run - I serial, which PAM re-called in order to fix the fang, since it wasn't going down to -0-. Some of the J's had to be dealt with as well. The K's were fine.

233. Not even close. The 390 is nice, but the 233 is not like other PAMs IMHO.

233 for all the reasons stated above. But if I had to pick one as my next, it would be the 390 because of my budget. I'd be very happy with that. If 233 was the same price as the 390, then I'd pick 233.

They're BOTH beautiful but I'm a base buy too so my choice would be the 390. The more I wear mine the more I'm drawn to it...and they're not making any more. Love the 233 as well but a bit too much on the dial for me.
