Is this real?
I bought this at a resale shop last year without knowing what kind of watch it was, I just needed a watch . I only realized it said Rolex when I took it to wally world to get a new battery. They wouldn't put the battery in for me because they did not sell the watch.............it takes a special tool to get the back off and it's a devil. I can't remember what it looks like inside. and without that special tool I can't get the back off.
There are no markings on the case or the dial one uses to set the time. In the picture you can tell it is plated because it shows wear spots and a copper color shows through. My photo taking abilities are not so fine, the lighting made the back of the watch apear gold colored but it is really silver colored. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. TIA |

Hi Monica
Unfortunately I have to say that your watch is an imitation, it is a copy Rolex. So I hope that you didn't pay too much for it. Apart from imitation watches being illegally produced, the proceeds of sales are also said to fund criminal activity. Anyway, maybe your next watch might be a real Rolex. |

Welcome to TRF, Monica.
That one's as fake as they can come. As Steve says....hopefully, your next one will be the real McCoy. Hope you didn't pay too much for that!!

thanks guys, I only gave 5 bucks for the watch. I figured it was fake when all the ones I had seen had the crown on the stem and mine didn't.
one can't help but hope that one has found a piece of hidden treasure..........'specially when one is broke! 'preciate the time |
