PL 8500 Question

I am ready to pull the trigger on the 8500 XL PO watch.

My question though is, why does the one with the rubber strap (w/ orange stitching) differ from the one with the metallic bracelet which is supposedly made of the new liquidmetal and stamped on the back of the skeleton back which is not adorned on this model.

Do I need to wait for the latest and greatest still?

Are you looking at the older 2500 version of the PO?
Only the blue one is liquid metal I believe on the new PO

I want the 8500 with the orange stitching but it looks like it would be a bad match with a blue bezel :(

Also the new orange bezel on the 8500 isn't ceramic I believe (perhaps someone could confirm/deny).

The only 8500 which is liquid metal is the blue titanium one.

you cant get the blue titanium with strap and orange stitching anyways. you would have to order strap seperate. it only comes with strap and white stitching.

but if you were looking at different models for strap and bracelet, chances are it was the original PO and the new PO. They're still out there, some of. I believe the 8500 is ceramic yes

Ok I've done lots of looking on the Internet and came up with the following and ill ask the experts here to either confirm or correct my findings.

1. There are two versions of this liquid metal PO watches
2. The older limited edition was without the exhibition backing and was a limited edition and had a black dial with the face of the watch saying ZRO4
3. There is indeed a new version of this technology and the exhibition case is there. However the dial only comes in blue and the face of the watch does not say anything implying it being special just the back which says liquid metal
4. The watch I want with the orange stitching would look silly with a blue bezel I think and I don't necessarily mind the weight of the watch but banging my wrist against unseen objects frequently I would like the newer technology
5. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

This is the model you're looking for Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 232.32.46.21.01.005

In order to get the black bezel and orange stitched black strap you need to have orange numerals, otherwise you need to buy the strap in addition to the watch.
