Ed will be very proud!

I think I'm gonna get an all black bezel for my GMT. Sometimes when I look down at my watch I think, "make up your bloody mind what colour you're gonna be"!!

Well, I went to post a couple of questions, and I saw your thread. How could I resist?

I don't know what they go for at an AD, but there are a bunch on eBay for $22. Check out

Are those real Rolex? I imagine that's about what the dealer pays for them and charges about 10 times more.

That's a good question. It doesn't say they are the real thing. Maybe that's why they're so cheap.

Maverick just got all three not long ago, I think he paid around $40 for them, not sure. I like the all black bezel, it is one of my 3 favorite on the GMT.

Well, I like all 3 better than no bezel. But the one you have is my second favorite behind the all black one.

As much as I like the black and red, I really, really like the all black. That is... assuming you don't have the ultimate, fixed SS bezel.

John, John, John. Don't you know that what you are looking at in the pic JJ posted is the ultimate SS bezel.

I agree... it is the ultimate bezel if you only have a GMTII.

I think we may have some common ground here, John. I can agree that if you have a GMT-II, the black bezel is the ultimate.

Then we can also agree that the 3185 movement is the best!

Hey Bruce, If memory serves I think my Red/blue bezel was $47.00.
Was part of the RSC service on my 1675.

I forgot to tell you guys that the watchmaker at my AD said he needed the serial number to order the part from Rolex, and that they would only send the bezel that was originally on the watch. So, are you guys with multiple inserts using aftermarket stuff?

Bruce, can you order them directly from Rolex Canada? It seems your AD doesn't want to 'play'. I know RC is far more flexible with this kinda stuff.

I don't know if this is a new thing or not. When I first asked him about it he said no problem, but the last time he called Rolex for a part, they wanted the serial number. Maybe he's being extra careful since he just got certified to work on Rolex "officially", although he said he would put an aftermarket bezel on mine if I got one
