Need some help with the A/6538

Alright, guys, I need your expert help. I'm finishing up an article on the history of the MilSub, and I'm having trouble with resources for the short lived A/6538. I've managed to find a forum comment here and there, typically from pros like Mike Wood or Jed, but I'm looking more for source documentation.

Does anyone have anything to point me to? So far, it seems like the history on it is fading away...and we can't let that happen!!!!

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

-Shane

the history isn't fading away , its known well by those who have spent years studying the subject and owners, and generally we don't talk about it in totally public arenas , same as the milsubs, in many ways its a shame , but it is the reality of the situation.....thats why there are private forums for specialist owner groups.

Milsubs are always targets for fakers so as a rule we keep what information out there fairly general rather than hand the fakers a playbook , almost every ''guide'' or article out there is either very basic or if trying to be detailed full of inaccuracies, and the hard copy books are beyond a joke.

the information that is out there from folks like Mike Wood on the arrival of his A6538 , pretty much gives a good intro to what they are ....several of the other articles written are 'off'.

if you are talking official docs for A6538 , forget it, even Rolex don't have much on them

When I saw this post I thought there are probably only a few people that post here often that have an in depth knowledge of the subject, Jed and Mike Wood and Marcello.

That one on eBay? It's a mess but a pretty watch. Buy it as a pretty watch and not a 6538

handshake isn't so important :)...as long as you remember to roll up the correct trouser leg to reveal your selection of nato straps :)

I had to fly home from Nice wearing that Comex diving suit on Easyjet as I only had one small piece of carry on luggage and it wouldn't fit in my bag...
