Thanksgiving Eagles
I decided to head up to a location I know for eagles here on the east coast for the Thanksgiving weekend. A couple of half frozen PB&J sandwiches weren't exactly the ideal Thanksgiving meal but I wasn't complaining. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks everyone.
Thanks Chris. The camera is a Canon 1D Mark IV with a 500mm f4 mk1 lens and a 1.4x converter.

Beautiful pics, Mike. I especially like the shots with the fish in their talons.

I have quite a few shots of eagles fishing but the shot I'm really after is two eagles fighting talon to talon over a fish in mid-flight. Eagles, like many predators, can be pretty aggressive toward each other when food is on the line and they will attack each other trying to steal a fish. It's a hard shot to get and that is part of the challenge. Here is one that's getting close but not quite there. There's always next year...
Thanks to everyone who commented and glad you enjoyed them.

Thanks very much guys!
That is so cool. Their nests can weigh over a ton. Let me know if you need a live-in dog sitter.
