i never would have thought of it, but it was meant to be worn over a dive suit

This guy has earned his right to do whatever he wants.

Lots of fashion icons has worn watches in this manner actually, like Gianni Agnelli

I love the watch, but worn over the cuff it looks just as stupid as on Ralph Lauren...

Just to be a bit more contrarian - when you think about it, they were designed to be worn on top of a wetsuit... :-)

I do agree that is looks rather silly TO ME, but if it makes the owner happy, I'm all for it.

Not so sure about Agnelli style, but i think ralph lauren rocked the egiziano in the context of his outfit...its a 60mm watch seems he wore it with both style & function in mind

a lot of mafia bosses wear watch on top of shirt too. Italian style, cool enough for hip dress
After Sly I see another person who can actually wear one, great !

Angelli was the first one to wear the watch above the cuff. He had an allergy and could not have metal of any kind agains his skin. It was then picked up by other Italians who wanted to copy his style. The style of a successful business man / billionaire / playboy

That's probably one his vintage jackets. Hard to argue with a couple bil.
Anyway, I like the look of a big watch over the cuff.
