PAM 233 Changes

Just left the NYC boutique and the rep told me that the 233 is losing the dome crystal AND it's going to be fully polished in the next production series.

This is the first I've heard about the polished case but its the second time that a rep has told me the dome is getting the axe. The first time was the flagship boutique in Florence last month.

I'm hope Panerai decides to change their mind. The 233 is perfect the way it is.

Indeed. The dome is a key part of the 233 charm.

It sounds like it will become a steel version of the 576?

So, will this move make the 233 Domed a highly sort after piece? I'm was planning on holding onto mind until I can no longer read the thing.

I was wondering the same thing... I wanted to add the BLNR into my collection first but maybe I should get the 233 before it gets rebooted.

If true that would be one of the dumbest things Panerai has done...

Have to agree.....

Hoping this is just some misinformed salespeople trying to drum up sales of the 233?

AFAIK, no one has mentioned these changes on p.com.

I never owne dthe 233, but I had the 275 and the dome crystal was a huge part of why I loved the watch so much. Sets it apart, without it it's going to lose its beautiful profile. That's unfortunate!

Hmmm interesting..can't foresee them doing this to the 233, unless they're axing the dome completely for all domed models.

Changing things just for the sake of changing them. How else are they gonna convince you you need the newest model?
