Movement Comparison
Guys, how would you rate a Rolex 3185 against a SWAN-NECK Unitas 6497 17J movement? Both are COSC movements, so accuracy isn't a concern. I mean in terms of long-term reliability and robustness.
What say you? |

The Unitas 6497 and 6498 are basically pocket-watch movements designed in the 1950s and had very little change. The 6497 and 6498 calibers are now regarded as among the best pocket watch movements ever designed for their ruggedness and accuracy. And have found its way into many modern wristwatches today. And IMO its as robust and strong and long-lasting as any movement made today including the Rolex 3185 After all its been in production for over 55 years think that speaks for it self don't you.

Padi is right on the money John!! I mean speaking only hypothetically, the movement say in a Panerai can be just as robust and accurate as a Rolex, of course this is just an example.
