i need trade advice?
guy wants my late 90's polar exp 2 (head only) and early 90's 16263 thunderbird (slight wear) for his 1803 (1971) aftermarket band OG clasp. i've been wanting a president for ages, but not sure if one this old will satisfy my need. any/all advice welcome! thanks in advance.

My advice?? Don't ever trade or sell a Rolex watch. I've never sold one, but I've traded, 2 and I have regrets with doing both. I shouldn't have done it.

Saw you posted this same thing under "vintage discussion" and this is what I wrote there:
If the bracelet is aftermarket then you wouldn't be getting a real President out of the trade because the head is a Day-Date. If you are parting with two Rolexes, go authentic. |

I would not trade your watch for a Day Date with a fake bracelet.

thanks guys! i appreciate all the feedback. the band is about 72 grams, ringing in at around $2200 in scrap value. maybe i'll see if he wants to put some $ up so that i can bring it back to all authentic. thanks again.
