Any hang tag experts that know which hang tag is correct for my red 1680?
Trying to pull some assessories together to make the watch more complete... |

Are you inquiring about a specific tag, i.e., red or green (with serial)?

You got two hangtags with the watch when you bought it, one green with serial number printed and one red chronometer tag.
The red one you linked to might be correct, it looks like one I have from early 70s. The green one I do not know, I have only seen late 70s style green hangtags, they are slightly different from the one you linked to. |

The red chronometer tag is correct. On the later version, the coronet is much fatter.
The green tag is correct but should read SUBMAINER on the reverse side. The hang tags didn't necessarily come with the watch, although a greater portion of them probably did.

You might want to find a nice 9315 SS Bracelet too...
Good luck on your quest....

Thanks for all help, guys! I don't have the original paperwork. The stuff I have managed to pull together are:
-9315 bracelet with correct end links( although I wear the watch on my 93150 bracelet which I think fits me better) -Case back sticker -Correct Rolex box Hang tag and anchor is next....and I will see if I stop there... |

If he's doing it just for his own personal enjoyment it's not fraud, just part of this hobby. If he was to sell the watch listed as a complete set then you are correct but he never said he was selling.

Yes, the 1680 is a keeper for me! I just enjoy the "memorabilia" that comes a long with the watch, that's what I meant with making it more complete...

I don't agree it's fruad but imo just not really worth doing. No point of trying to complete a set if you don't have the original paperwork for it. Just my opinion tho, if you enjoy adding accessories from other watches to it then go for it. Goodluck with your hunt.
