Link Problem
So i have an 1803 circa 1970 I had passed down to me.
It was sent back to the RSC for a service and has been returned to me. I bought some links to expand the president bracelet to fit my wrist. The links came in today, however when I tried to install them, they do not fit. The width is 16mm, just like my band, but the width of the center tab of the link is 8mm, whereas the center tab on the links of my band is 9mm. The links I ordered are marked for an 1803. So what did I do wrong? What do I need to fit my band?? Thanks Tony |

I warned you early 1803 links are not quite the same although sellers will tell you they fit 1803, 18038 and 18238, show me a pic of the link with screw removed, I need to see thread and hole maybe not even original.

I do not think it is an issue between real or fake.
I think the issue is between new design or vintage. All the links i have found today have 8mm center tabs. The links on my 8385 bracelet have 9mm centers. Both are 16mm in total width. Tony |
