Serious doubts here. Are there any numbers between the lugs (or on the backside)?

Is it not a late 50s Zephyr ?
Certainly looks to me like what I'm led to believe a Rolex Zephyr (6582 or similar) looks.
That said, I've never seen one in the flesh and we're all guessing a bit from the OP's single pic. No idea either if the Zephyr was faked along the way - most Rolex models were of course. Here's a cropped and turned pic of the OP's watch - for any folk who can't stand on their head |

Maybe a Zephyr.... A bit hard to say from the pic.

Definitely not 1930s, whatever it is. I'd estimate mid 1960s at the earliest. More likely 1970s-80s.

Thanks for the help and input, i really appreciate it. Ill post more pics, hopefully they'll provide some incite. And theres no numbers of any sort on the underside of the watch and as far as between the band and watch, my grandfather wont allow me to take the band off, so im not quite sure.

lol looks like your grandpa dosn't want you taking the band off because it's soldered to the lugs. probably worth around 500-1000 above scrap at this point, it would cost a fair ammount getting the bracelet removed and case reformed to remove all of the excess gold, plus the dial is trashed.

The bezel is not seated properly. Risk of loosing it plus that the watch should not get close to water. Take care of it.

looks to be a genuine piece from the grainy photos but I've never heard of or seen someone solder a band to a watch...let alone a completely hideous band at that...doesn't resemble anything even close to what it would have came with at the time...thats a shame...
