I've been switching the inserts on my gmt every so often, I'm wondering if my too frequent taking off the bezel might loosen it in the long run. Conventional wisdom says so. I only join the gmt club recently so would like to hear opinions from long time owners. Maybe i should change my habit?

Yes, it will cause wear to both the bezel inset and crystal retaining ring. The retaining ring being more worrisome in my mind.
That said, it's not too big of a deal, just don't swap them everyday

Thanks guys. Just another question. Lets say my current bezel wears out n become loose. Will replacing with a newer bezel remedy the situation?

It's not the bezel ring as much as the insert and crystal retaining ring. If the bezel ring itself does become loose, Rolex has a special tool to tighten and loosen them.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Keep it the way it is now. Looks great. They were not designed to be taken on and off that often. Yes it will cause some loosening.

I'm trying but the convenience of switching the insert to get a different look on the watch is so tempting. Txs though.

I'd say keep it to a minimum; snap-on/in parts will of course wear. They were not designed to be changed every week like fashion accessories, but put on permanently until replaced at service...

Yes, it will remedy the situation but they are hard to find unless you send it back to Rolex. New bezel is around $300 but they usually want to do a full service at around $1100. You can refuse it but I recently had Rolex tell me that they would not replace the bezel without the full service.

I agree completely .... but it's a good thing for you trendy Nato / leather strap boys that spring bars will take a bit of use though!!
