Chances are good that it will be pawned, traded or sold. If you made a police report and the serial number was entered in their database, it will show up eventually. By law, pawn shops in TX must run serial numbers through the police. Good luck. If I see it for sale on Craigslist, etc I will notify you.

You should have posted only once after the check was cleared.

UPDATE:
I've been contacted by 3 different people these guys have pulled the same scam on. The guy occasionally goes by Jay Dillon or Ja Dillon as well. Had a gentleman call me today that they had tried shipping a package to his home, and did confirm it is the same guy that is pictured in the ID. Trying to get in touch with Houston PD again, but haven't had a ton of luck there, so I guess this is the next best thing. Here is Jermaine Dillon's current contact information just in case he tries this again from his actual number & email address. 713-384-8032 jaydillon85@yahoo.com Instagram Page: http://instagram.com/mr_signature/ Current address according to court documents: 10919 FONDREN, HOUSTON, TEXAS, 77096 Link to recent arrest: Arrest Records Jermaine Dillon He frequents the Alameda Skate 10750 Alameda Genoa RD, Houston, Texas, 77034 He is also employed at MRC Communications. Also, I had originally forgotten to post, but the email Candace Dillon gave me is: D.candice1668@yahoo.com |

You should never accept any type of check unless you can wait for 10 business days for it to clear.
Sorry for your loss hope you are made right. |

Stolen rolex submariner - stolen by jermaine nicholas dillon & candice dillon
How has someone not just paid someone to pay this guy a "visit" on his way out of work one day?
I had my identity stolen via a fake license, day long, smash and grab type crime. But this clown is doing stuff under his own name and geography and is getting away with it over and over again??? And the police do not care??? Something is wrong here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bank wire is probably the best way to get verified funds. If you don't want someone to have your account number, then set up a secondary one.
Sorry to hear that you were scammed.

Call his employer and work your way up their management chain. Call him directly. Email him. Call cops in his district over and over until their is movement on the case. This is grand theft and a felony, I can't see why detectives wouldn't want this collar. Call the FBI, who has jurisdiction over Internet crimes. Call the state investigators in your state and Texas too. Call the news in the city where he lives. Email the mayor and city council members where he lives. Personally, I would go visit him and demand my watch back. I would make sure I'm armed. That much money deserves resolution. |

It's infuriating when someone has done all the legwork for the police and they don't go run this to ground. Maybe the OP got his watch back or his money back and that solved it????
