Thoughts on this Sub??

I found this Sub on ebay, can you all check it out and let me know what you think???

It looks pretty legit, but I will turn it over to the experts of TRF!!

Thank you all so much

Looks pretty legit, but if the reserve is anywhere close to the BIN price, I would say it's a little too high. For that price, you could find a D or Z LNIB that had many less hours of operation under its belt.

I just sold my 7 month old SubLV for $4,900 and trust me, it didn't look any different than the day if first came out of the box. Granted, I sold it to a good friend & colleague, so I don't feel too bad if I left a few dollars on the table, but I'm pretty sure you could beat this guys price if you're looking for a 4+ year old Sub.

I never looked at the buy it now price on this sale. I just looked at whether the watch was real. I purchased a "Z" series SS Date Submariner from someone here on TRF in February (watch was exactly one year old and mint) for $4,250.00. I got a very nice deal (Thanks to Andrew ). I agree that you can probably do better.

I would not use the BIN price, I would hold out and see if any one bids since there is no reserve, to get it at $2500 isn't bad.

I emailed the seller and asked if i had the green sticker and if it ended with no bods if they would take $2500, here is the response...

There is no green sticker on the back. And thanks but NO to the opening bid

Ok, so what if no ones bids and it ends at $2500 one bid???

As long as he had no reserve he has to sell it to you at the winning price I believe. If he wanted more for it he should have listed it with a reserve. So you may do what others have suggested and wait until the last day or so and bid on it and it should be yours. If he refuses to give it to you at the winning price you can file a dispute with E-Bay. He's got no bids now but five days left on the sale so this one is going to be bid on.

Alternatively the seller can cancel the auction if he doesn't like the bids by claiming he made an error in the listing. The bidders can't do anything...

Lovely policy. Still no bidders as of this morning.

I am going to watch it, at least out of curiosity, for $2500 it is a good deal, but I am in no hurry, there will always be another.
