Paypal scams?
I'm 99% sure this is just a scam. I listed by Daytona for sale on craigslist. Someone replied and wants to send me the $8900 + $250 to ship this to his son in Virginia. He wanted to pay via Orionpay money order or paypal. Paypal seems more reliable. I told him my preference is paypal, if he is verified, and sent to him. What should I watch for?
Thanks for your suggestions. I'm most likely to ignore this guy completely and wait for a local person. He didn't ask a single question. Which is really suspicious. Rob |

I would not even entertain this since with paypal, the buyer can report to paypal that they have not received it etc.
Paypal looks after the buyer first and then the seller. If you are going to entertain this, ask for references.

Realistically, watch out for a fake paypal notification email (log in and check your account balance when you receive a 'payment')
If he's more experienced, there are a few ways for the buyer to get his money back after receiving the product. I recommend NOT using Paypal for any high-dollar sales.
