Speedmaster Mitsukoshi Conversion
I recently cracked the crystal on my 3570.50, and took the opportunity to do a mitsuskoshi conversion. Dial and hands all genuine OEM from Otto Frei. I am really happy with how it came out.
Only probably: I do miss my standard issue Speedmaster, and so am thinking I will need to pick up another somewhere along the line. A big shout-out and thank you to that great trf member kauebm for guiding me through the process of sourcing the right parts.  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm actually in the process of doing the same and was just about to post a question to the forum this morning. My question is did you have any problems deciding on hand color. I'm torn between the all silver hands which is how the Mitsukoshi was first introduced and and a different set up which I saw someone do that payed homage to the colors of the original Panda...the Paul Newman Daytona. I've heard that the all silver hands can be quite hard to read...the other option I'm thinking of is to leave the white hands on the subdials, get silver hour and minute hands and install a black chrono sweep hand which is what this Paul Newman has: Does any one care to weigh in on this? Thanks in advance for any advice. -Mike

I don't find any legibility issues with the silver hands...YMMV.
