Help, Date Change Problem with New Submariner 16613

Hi,

I own two Rolex: the first was a 116201, Dome Bezel, Black Dial. I really liked it and I just bought my second Rolex, the 16613 Submariner after considering a couple other brands. Decided to go for the Submariner after reading the comments on this forum. I also really like the Blue Bezel / Dial!

However, after taking possesion of the watch from the Watch Shop I noticed that the date was halfway between two dates. I immediately took it back to the shop, and the sales consultant readjusted it. Thinking it was strange but not an issue, I brought it back home.

I now find that if I allow the watch to run and the time to go past midnight, the date changes nicely- as it is suppose to happen. The quick date change with the crown is also not an issue. However if I were to manually adjust the time at the crown's third postion, the date goes halfway after midnight and completely changes over only at 4:30!

There is something wrong, I am sure. Does anyone have problems with this before? Is it a serious problem? I need to bring it to the Rolex Center to be repaired but just appreciated any feedback on this.

Thanks for reading.

My 16610 had similar date issue (quick set) when it was 2 wks old. All fixed after quick trip to RSC.

Although it is a Rolex, it's still mechanical.
