Help, Date Change Problem with New Submariner 16613
Hi,
I own two Rolex: the first was a 116201, Dome Bezel, Black Dial. I really liked it and I just bought my second Rolex, the 16613 Submariner after considering a couple other brands. Decided to go for the Submariner after reading the comments on this forum. I also really like the Blue Bezel / Dial! However, after taking possesion of the watch from the Watch Shop I noticed that the date was halfway between two dates. I immediately took it back to the shop, and the sales consultant readjusted it. Thinking it was strange but not an issue, I brought it back home. I now find that if I allow the watch to run and the time to go past midnight, the date changes nicely- as it is suppose to happen. The quick date change with the crown is also not an issue. However if I were to manually adjust the time at the crown's third postion, the date goes halfway after midnight and completely changes over only at 4:30! There is something wrong, I am sure. Does anyone have problems with this before? Is it a serious problem? I need to bring it to the Rolex Center to be repaired but just appreciated any feedback on this. Thanks for reading. |

My 16610 had similar date issue (quick set) when it was 2 wks old. All fixed after quick trip to RSC.
Although it is a Rolex, it's still mechanical. |
