Hello from Seattle, WA USA!

New member but not new to Rolex – just been away from watch forums for a while. I used to post on TURF, Seiko/Citizen, WUS, TZ, Paneristi and a few others. Long story short, I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Had three surgeries and lots of chemo. With mounting medical bills and an uncertain future, I sold off all my high end watches. I am now cancer free for 6 years and aside from the damage done by chemo, I’m pretty much living a normal life. My wife gave me the green light to pick up a new to me GMT Master II 116710 last week as an early Christmas gift. (from her :) ) It’s so nice to have a Rolex back on my wrist again. :) Been wearing my Yao Seiko which is a great watch but nowhere near as nice as a Rolex. :) Best holiday wishes to Everyone!

Mike

Never mind the watches - congrats on the clean bill of health. GMT is nice frosting on the cake though. :)

Beautiful distraction during the dark days here in the PacNW!
