User idonald PM'd me in response to a WTB thread I posted yesterday. I asked for a link to his listing but he responded saying he doesn't have a link "to his AD" and insisted we take the discussion to e-mail if I wanted pictures. Alarm bells went off immediately. I gave him one of my throw-away e-mail addresses to see where this would go...

So "Donald Simon" from Canada (but with Asian lettering in his Tapatalk signature) is concerned that I will steal dated pictures of his merchandise with his name written on them and pass them off as my own to scam others. Sorta like this?

You can discover the e-mail associated with the fradulent listing by viewing Google's snapshot of the page in web cache. Notice it's the same e-mail account "Donald Simon" is using to contact me about the Submariner.

Hope this warning prevents someone from getting taken.

By the way WTB ads are best way to get scammed and I don't recommend them. If you want a watch there are plenty of great sellers with great reputations that likely have them so do a search.
