Earliest serial number with engraved rehaut?

I am just curious as to what is the earliest serial number reported with the engraved ROLEXROLEX... rehaut or CRB?

I ordered my wife a Lady Datejust and it came in yesterday (sorry, no pics yet). I looked at it quickly, but had it shipped out of state to save on taxes and hopefully will get it sometime soon. The new watch was a D serial number which really surprised me. Not that it really matters, but I guess I had hoped that it would be at least a Z or M serial number.

I guess in just a few days, I will know if it has the engraved rehaut and if I would have only thought to look, I would know right now. But, it got me thinking what would be the earliest serial reported with the engraved rehaut?

Pictures will be coming soon!

Not true. The 116718 shown in the August 2006 Watch Time Magazine is a D Serial Number.

We tend to get wrapped up in the Sport models here, but the upgrades are often incorporated into the TT, gold, and flagship DJ's and DD's first..

I have two "D" series DJ's and both have the engraving in the chapter ring. As does my wife's "Z" series DJ.

I guess we will find out tomorrow or Friday if the wife's has it or not. I thought that I had seen a D somewhere with the CRB engraving. Like I said, no big deal, but I fall in the category of people who actually like the engraving. I know there are some out there that do not feel the same way.

I will post pics coming soon.
