Earliest serial number with engraved rehaut?
I am just curious as to what is the earliest serial number reported with the engraved ROLEXROLEX... rehaut or CRB?
I ordered my wife a Lady Datejust and it came in yesterday (sorry, no pics yet). I looked at it quickly, but had it shipped out of state to save on taxes and hopefully will get it sometime soon. The new watch was a D serial number which really surprised me. Not that it really matters, but I guess I had hoped that it would be at least a Z or M serial number. I guess in just a few days, I will know if it has the engraved rehaut and if I would have only thought to look, I would know right now. But, it got me thinking what would be the earliest serial reported with the engraved rehaut? Pictures will be coming soon! |

Not true. The 116718 shown in the August 2006 Watch Time Magazine is a D Serial Number.

We tend to get wrapped up in the Sport models here, but the upgrades are often incorporated into the TT, gold, and flagship DJ's and DD's first..

I have two "D" series DJ's and both have the engraving in the chapter ring. As does my wife's "Z" series DJ.

I guess we will find out tomorrow or Friday if the wife's has it or not. I thought that I had seen a D somewhere with the CRB engraving. Like I said, no big deal, but I fall in the category of people who actually like the engraving. I know there are some out there that do not feel the same way.
I will post pics coming soon. |
