Where can I find a 5711/1A-010?
Has this reference gone the way of the new Rolex Daytona in that you basically give your name to the AD and wait a few years? Any suggestions would be helpful.

My local dealer found me one in the secondary market. It just so happened he owned one.

Contact a trusted seller and see if they can procure one for you. It might cost over MSRP, but it would be worth it as you could easily flip it.

I just wrote this same thing a few days ago for another member... In the US many people forget prior to the price decrease Americans were paying a list price of $26,700 and they were having no problems selling them. The current price of $24,836 is a steal IMO. Just call all of the US ADs if you are serious and I guarantee you can have one in a month or two max and maybe in a week for that matter. Some ADs will blow you off on the phone and laugh and say how the piece is rarer than hen's teeth. They are full of crap. In different parts of the world supply is limited for whatever reason. If you have a credit card or bank wire ready to go money talks and bullsh*t walks. Happy Hunting! (When you call say you are looking to purchase a Patek and would like to speak to someone in the watch department so they give you the main guy or girl. You don't want some clueless person in the jewelry dept. who has no idea what a 5711 is and is typing numbers in a computer to see if they carry it LOL)
