purchasing my 1st
Hi, I'm about to purchase my first Rolex, a Yachtmaster, on Monday. It's from a reputable company (James Free Jewelers) and I feel like I've done my homework and research. I'm 29 and this is my first Rolex and I'm looking for any feedback, positive or negative, in regards to this model. The rep is telling me $8200 but I know I can get down to around $7800 so I'm looking for feedback on performance rather than price advice...unless I'm off.
Thanks, Mike |

Thanks for the quick feedback and I'd just like to mention - this watch doesn't do too much in the display case but once you pull it out and allow it to catch the light...wow! From what I have seen, great watch for day to day use and definitely suitable for business occasions. The platinum dial and polished / brushed band really makes a difference once it's on the wrist. Thanks again!

Will do! I have to admit, spending this much money on a watch makes you question yourself...but when I logged onto this site and reviewed other's reviews it lets you know that there are other people out there that share the same passion for great watches. I still have a lot to learn but I have a feeling that once I cut this check, I'll never look back. Nice to know that there are others who understand that wearing a great watch is more than just knowing what time it is. I'll send pics when I have it. More feedback is welcome, thanks!

That would be a good price for a BNIB M serial.
Otherwise, you can find a mint preowned for 2K cheaper. However, I bought my first Rolex New and most others preowned afterward and you should do what your heart desires. It's your first Rollie
